SHANNON FINK/LOCAL 2009 PRESIDENT
Hello my name is Shannon Fink. I was born in Southern Indiana on February 12, 1972. I lived and grew up there until 1987 when I moved with my family to Milton, West Virginia. After High School I attended college and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Immediately after college I went straight to work for MCI Communications. After two years traveling the east coast I was hired as an Engineering Assistant for Bell Atlantic which then became Verizon. I have worked at Verizon for nine years and thanks to their tuition assistance earned my Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I became an active member in Local 2001 and then a Job Steward after several retired in Engineering. I had the opportunity to transfer to Huntington, West Virginia and thus became a member of Local 2009. In 2006 I successfully ran for President. In my down time I enjoy reading, cycling, camping, softball, tail gating, golf, hunting, and fishing

STEVE STOWERS/LOCAL 2009 VICE PRESIDENT
My name is Steve Stowers. I was born on April 6, 1961 in South Charleston, West Virginia. I was raised in St. Albans, West Virginia where I currently reside with my beautiful wife Teresa, my son Tyler and my step-son Travis. In 1991, after attending West Virginia State College where I majored in Nuclear Medicine, I began my employment with Verizon. I am currently working in OSP Engineering as an Engineering Assistant. I have been an active participant in phone company organizations such as Telephone Pioneers of America, Union Steward Local 2001 (1991-1995) and Vice-President of Local 2009 (2006-present). My hobbies and activities include: camping, summer beach vacations, hunting, fishing, and motorcycling, boating, swimming, mountain biking and NASCAR races. |
